Lists of Exonerations 1789-1988, and
Wrongful Executions 1789 to present; and
Registry of Claims of Innocence
In separate tabs at this website are three lists:
1. EXONERATED 1789-1988: List of people exonerated in the U.S. during the 200 years 1789-1988. See the National Registry of Exonerations for those exonerated after 1988. Also presented separately are those who were most certainly wrongly convicted, but who did not receive official exoneration. Included in this latter category are those who were wrongly executed. (See below.)
(This project will be launched in late 2014 with a Kickstarter project proposal.)
2. WRONGLY EXECUTED 1789 to PRESENT: List of wrongly convicted people executed in the U.S. 1789-to- present. They are presented in two categories of wrongful execution: a. "with certainty." b. "high probability."
(This project will be launched in early 2015 with a Kickstarter project proposal.)
3. CURRENTLY CLAIMING INNOCENCE: See the prototype list of the Registry of Claims of Innocence at www.registryofclaimsofinnocence.org.
